Mike's update: Climate Change Commission report

The Climate Change Commission's final advice to Government was released yesterday, a major milestone for New Zealand which is broadly in line with the submission SBC and CLC made to the Commission. Check out Mike's video update here, or click the photo above.

Major milestone for New Zealand’s zero carbon future

We released a joint media statement with CLC yesterday on the CCC report, which is on our website here. Mike Burrell says, "This report is a milestone. But it is a first step. We look forward to working with government on the development of the Emissions Reduction Plan to ensure that the policies are ambitious and informed by the practical perspectives of our members."

Webinar: MoT engagement

The Ministry of Transport is working on a report to inform the content of the transport chapter in the draft Emissions Reduction Plan. SBC will be making a brief submission on the consultation, and hosting a webinar with key officials from MoT where members can ask questions about the report and process. The webinar is this Monday 14 June, at 10am. Please RSVP today at this link to be sent the Zoom details.
